Small Camping Trailers

Can a person pull a small camping trailer on a trip down along the cost of Mexico for a vacation?

if so what would have to be done,also what amount of extra cost would be added for pulling a small camper hooked to my truck as far as fee's are involved crossing into mexico, thanks for any information and have a nice day.

1. 2 things to be aware of..insurance coverage - your coverage will be no good in mexico - you will have to buy a policy just for that..and banditos..yeah they still exist and rob Americans travelling just like you plan on doing.
2. Yes, and there's even a clause that says you can own land in the coast of Mexico (only the coast) if you want to. There's no fees for the small camper, however there might be a fee for your truck, plus I believe you can only pass up to 10,000 bucks across the border in cash or goods. Don't cuote me on it, but I really believe you can do all that. Use common sense like in any other country while you travel. Good luck.
3. A few years ago I pulled a 28 ft holiday rambler from Brownsville Tx to Belize and back I know the entry requirments on autos have changed at that time no special requirments for the camper. You may want to ck. Travel books for camp grounds in Mexico I found many camp grounds I took the coast road all the way I made it OK just a hard trip on the driver you should have some one with you to help back up. I say enjoy your trip.
4. The extra cost is on the toll roads ... unless you avoid them. Taking the free roads takes a little more planning. It would be cheaper with a truck and camper. Yes ... insurance ... a must.
