Mouseproofing a tent or camp trailer? My friend and I camp a lot either in tents or a small camp trailer. She is terrified of mice but would tear up a grizzly bear. Does anyone know how or what to ring around the ground perimeter of the tent or trailer to keep mice away?

Question - newbie to RVs, Travel Trailers, Camping - cost to rent space in parks? Hi - We are new to this whole RV thing - my wife and I are planning to buy a travel trailer and wanted to spend 2-3 months down south this winter (from about Dec until March) - Florida would be our first choice, especially on/near water. Please have some patience as we're new to all this & know nothing about costs, best way to do it, etc. So far, in browsing various RV parks or state parks in Florida that rent out lot spaces overnight for travel trailers, we have found that the rent per day is Surprisingly expensive !! Wow. I was thinking that rental rates would be reasonable, like 150 or 200 a month to park your trailer. But I am finding prices routinely of 25-30 dollars a night ($900 a month !!) I had No idea rv parks charged that much. That really shocked us. Is there some other way or something we don't know about in renting spaces in RV parks such that we could find something much more reasonable ?? Now we are second guessing our entire plan and thinking heck it would be about the same price or possibly even cheaper to just rent a small place in Florida for a couple of months over the winter (especially considering all the empty & vacant real estate in Florida right now, Landlords are desperate for renters down there). Well, any ideas, experiences, suggestions from seasoned RV and travel-trailer veterans on this high lot rental cost issue would be greatly appreciated !!!!
What's the best size trailer (utility) to pull with a 4 cyl. Saturn Vue? I want to buy a trailer for my Saturn. I'm using this trailer for extra camping equipment. I've heard that the bigger the tire the less likely the bearings will burn out. This will be about a 2000 mile trip. My Bro - n- Law has a small trailer that would do the job,but I worry about the high ,sustained speeds, between 60 and 75 mph,if it will burn the bearings out.
can i tow 3000lb with my 1998 infiniti q45? i recently purchased a small 16' camping trailer, and i had a hitch put on my v8 1998 infiniti q45t. i have no concern about having a heavy enough car or having enough power, but some people have brought up issues about my suspension and/or transmission not being able to handle it. So my quesiont is will towing with my car mess it up?
Where can I purchase a small, enclosed cargo trailer? I want to purchase a small cargo trailer, for carrying camp gear, etc. You don't see them too often, but they're like a small "pod" shape, with a lid that locks. They're like the tiny enclosed cargo trailers that you sometimes see towed behind motorcycles, only they're a bit bigger for use with a car. Everything I find online is either for use with motorcycles so too small, or too huge such as horse trailer size, or for hauling ATV's & boats, or open utility trailers when I need an enclosed variety. If you could give a website or dealer name that would help alot. Thanks in advance.

Looking desperately for a compact microwave for trailer? I am looking for a small microwave to fit in my Casita Camping Trailer and I cannot find anything although I know that Conair used to make a Micro-Mite Microwave and Sharp used to make a Sharp Carousel Half Pint Microwave. I have called a bunch of stores where I live (Cincinnati, Ohio) and none of them seems to be carrying that brand or any compact microwave for that matter. Can anybody help me? Thanks.
1965 Santa Fe Trailer hitch is 3" too low for my 2001 Ranger ball on the bumper? I have a 2001 ford ranger 4cyl, 5sp standard bed, and just picked up a 12ft (looks smaller) 1965 Santa Fe camp trailer. I towed it home no problem, but the trailer hitch is too low, and makes the rear end of the trailer visibly hang down. is this a bad way to tow it? Is there some way to mount a lower ball on the "step bumper" of my 2001 ranger? I went to Walmart and they had some 2 1/2 inch "drop down" parts, but the "bolt hole" in those are horizontal, ie, that part would not hook to my bumper where the current ball is....any ideas please?
Family issue - what would you do? My Grandparents are in their late 80's. Up until the this year they have been able to do the majority of things for themselves, but in the last 6 months or so things have gotten bad. Grandma can't drive and Grandpa has just been diagnosed with cancer. He has been so weak that he can't hardly walk to the restroom. For the past 2 months I have been taking them to all their Dr's appt's and doing a lot of their grocery shopping etc. I am a mom of 4 young children. The youngest is not yet 2 and the oldest is 8. I am also a part time student. My grandparents live an hour away. Here is the issue. My mom doesn't work. She is home all the time, but she refuses to take them to any appts. Excuses that she has errands to run etc. She offered to watch the kids, but they have to be well. She also wants to watch them at her house. A small camp trailer. She smokes with them in there and they are covered in her pet hair when they come home. I can't afford to put them in child care.
Dependent 52 year old livin off of everyone getting out of hand? I just turned 18 and am pregnant and trying to find a house very soon. The problem is my mother is trying to support her brother who is 52 and he has 4 degrees and doesn't want to get a job. He would rather go from house to house ( my sister brother and mom all live next door to each other) and eat take showers and watch tv. He doesn't have to pay for a dime and he has moved once down into another town and lived with his other sister but got kicked out because he refused to get a job and expected her to support him. So he moved back. My mother is so scared of hurting his feelings and teling him he at least needs a job. He showers daily and uses all of my soaps/lotions/shampoo's up. I cant stand it anymore and when i talk to my mom she gets upset and says he needs her. He has no health conditions at all when my mother is 62 and is getting to old to support him. I also get WIC for food while i am pregnant and he eats it all up. And when me or my mother buys food he is always in it. He hasnt bought any food scince he moved here (9 years ago) or paid a dime on living expenses. He also tells my mother she doesnt do anything for him, Yet he lives outside our house in a small camp trailer my mother gave him and the only way he has electricity is because he is hooked up to ours! Cant wait to move out! Is his lifestyle rediculous or is it just me? First of all Glamorous is a dumbass If you didnt hear me i buy my own food/snacks and also i have been working on getting a house i turned 18, 2 1/2 months ago. That is barely anytime to even look for a house. And for your information i suport my self. This house we are living in was bought by my grandmother to have a roof over MY head until i am 18. So until you read the question hold you uneducated answers

What is the best car for my family? It's time for us to get a new car but we want to buy a used almost new...We need a car that fits our lifestyle and budget....We have 1 kid, need something fair on gas, reliable, able to tow a small trailer with 2 dirtbikes, haul our camping gear, and pick up our family member when the come to visit us, and not to big so my wife can drive it....
Have anyone ever gone camping completely on horseback? My fiance and I want to go camping with our horses, but we don't want to take a horse trailer seeing as how we pretty much want to go just right in our own backyard (NV). We know the items we need to take versus the items we want to take. I'm just concerned as to how everything will be packed. There will be 2 people, 2 horses, and 3 dogs (medium/large dogs) Obviously we need the necessities (tent, change of clothes, food for horses and dogs, we plan to fish at the lake we want to camp at, and all 3 dogs wil be equipped with their own packs to carry their food, rope for a high line, etc.) I was wondering if there were special packs, besides cantle and horn bag, that can be on the horse along with the rider. Something like a sawbuck saddle and pack, but be able to ride at the same time. I don't want it to be heavy just have enough storage for items such as the clothes, small camp grill or a grate, first aid kit (for people, horses, and dogs) and anything else I or you can think of. Thank you ~Rachel~
What campground is best to camp at, at the Grand Canyon? My husband and I are taking our 4 little kids (1-7 years old) camping at the Grand Canyon next month in June. I'm just wondering what campground we should stay at? We would like somewhere with running water and flush toilets, and other stuff like that. You know the easy, convenient way to camp. We will be sleeping in a tent and need room for parking a minivan and small utility trailer. We would like someplace not too busy but also want fun activities and to be close to stuff to see. Thanks for any good answers!

I saw this little trailer that someone used for camping...it wasn't too big but it was kind of doam shapped and metal...all that was in it was a twin bed enough room for two. You could open the back and in there was room for a microwave and there was a couple cuboards. This trailer was very small, small enough for a car to pull and I am looking to buy one. Help :) Thanx
What could I open that is NOT a motorcycle dealership? I've come into some money and would like to buy or start some kind of motorcycle related store, factory, company or rental thing. Any ideas or suggestions? Thinks big. Think small. Think wacky and cool. Be creative. I like sport bikes, touring bikes, hotels (not camping), motorcycle classes, restaurants, trailers, Ducati, Buell, Suzuki and scooters, but I don't know what all other people have done. What would YOU open?

I need help with Buying and Fixing up a Small Travel Trailer? I am looking into buying a small travel trailer. One 15ft or smaller that can be pulled behind a mini van. I found one, near by, its a 15ft one that a man bought from his friend. The man does not know anything about it and will sell it for cheap. The body outside looks pretty good, but the inside needs work... which is what i want, because i want to customize it the way i want. It currently has a sink, stove top, and furnace. It also has a bench and table, and a bed (single house bed) ... missing fridge/ice box.... ....its currently in the mans yard, with a lot of snow around it, so it can't be fully inspected at this time, but as soon as it is, I need to know EVERYTHING i need to check.... Also here are some photos for you to look at. He says that its between 1975-1978... does anyone know what model this is?? http://www.flickr.com/photos/24907660@N08/3268480952/in/photostream/ Here is what I want to do with it. If you can tell me if this is possible and how I can pull this off, let me know please. ------> I want to remove the bed, and I want to put a toilet (portable?)... probably put a curtain around that. Im guessing where the table is folds to a bed, so I want to do that all over there, thats for sure. I want to put speakers and a TV in there... probably a 19" lcd and a DVD player. I also want to put all new flooring and paint, and fix up the drawers, etc... and put a mini fridge.... I am very new to all this...Im a young lady, 24years old, and very crafty and creative. I want this for me and my little boy to use in the yard and at the local camp ground... this will not be used for long distance drives... PLEASE HELP!!!! Thanks!!

Taking a baby camping? At what age can your child go camping with you (in a trailer and/or tent)? What are some precautions you need to take? What about being around campfire smoke? Or smelling of it? I'm from a small town (10000 people) and everyone camps, taking their babies as young as 9 days old. They say it's okay. I live in a big city now (over a million) and was talking to my neighbor about it and they were horrified and said they wouldn't take a child younger than a year and a half. This isn't the first time I've heard this from a city person. Which is correct?
Does it really matter how a person camps? Don't you think that all that matters is that you have fun, enjoy the outdoors in your own way? To me it don't matter how you do it. Yes, I camp in a trailer, no I don't do it to pack my house with me. I have a small trailer. It is not a big fancy home on wheels. I do not take my house with me. We are more comfy in the trailer, and yes I did tent camping for 17 years, I did enjoy it. We still cook outdoors, have a campfire, and so on. So, does it really matter how a person does it as long as they enjoy what they are doing? There are alot of different ways you can camp. To reply to an answer to clarify something, where I live, you can only camp in approved campgrounds. There is no pulling off somewhere to camp. So no choice there. Plus, the economy won't stop me taking out my trailer.
Best motorcycle/bike for a big man? Bigguns come hither!? I am a 6'1, 300 lb man who has just completed MSF basic rider course and am now looking to buy my first bike (cruiser/chopper type) to save $ on gas. I would like to spend $2500-3000 or less on something that easily handles city/highway riding for 300-470 lbs (with wife), and possibly more if I add a small trailer later on (for camping trips 3 hours away). Year/make/model are really of little (no) issue. Comfort and "ride-ability" are of most importance, followed by price and available aftermarket options. Just wanted to get some input from the more experienced, "density challenged" folks like myself! Any help would be much appreciated, and thanks for your time.
Do I just have a crummy small group? I think I may be in the wrong group. I just don't feel quit welcome in it. We are going camping again next week with the same group.Last time I was made to feel like I was low class and was laughed at for not have a trailer to camp in and having to tent camp. One woman seems to really dislike me and I don't know why. I just think that it really stinks to have a christian treat another christian in this way.. So, seriously, pray (a lot) ! I just don't understand it. I was always taught to treat people nicely no matter what. We don't have expensive worldly things because we choose not to. I am thankful for that. I am also not the girly girl that wants to sit around the cabin sleeping. I want to go out with my husband and fish. Thank you every one. Some of you made me laugh and all of you made me feel a lot better !

How can you make an electric generator? I own 5 acres of property. Other then my gas generator, I don't have electricity on it. I have a travel trailer on it with an electric fridge and I love camping there. In Home Depot, I have seen a converter that you hook up to your car battery and I have also seen what appears to be an electric generator. I asked someone at Home Depot how long the "electric generator" would run a small fridge. He told me it wouldn't be a long time, but suggested using a marine battery with a converer. I am thinking I could purchase several batteries, a converter and a battery charger. Does that sound like somethink that might work? I do have a 5000 watt gas generator on my property. I just don't want to have to run it all the time if I am camping for several days or a week at a time. We all know the prices of gas these days.
What mini vans are OK for towing a trailer? I have a small hard wall box style camping trailor. I plan to purchase a van to pull the camper and also as a back up vehicle. I have lots of grandkids and need the room (7 seater). Will most vans be able to tow a camper? Does it matter if it's front or rear wheel drive? I know my friend towed it in the past with his Explorer. Any ideas out there would be appreciated.
Towing 3500 lbs. What's the best vehicle (used or new) for me to buy to occasionally go camping.? My usage would be occasionally pulling this 3500 pound fibreglas trailer through normal south east highways. I need unbiased opinions on what kind of used or new vehicle would be good for me, good mpg, trouble free generally, etc. Diesel vs gas? Jeep Liberty Diesel 96-96 has been suggested, but I came upon a site that says they are nothing but trouble. Another, the Dodge Cummins Diesel and the Chevrolet Duramax Allison. They seem like 'overkill' for a small 3500 lb trailer, especially price wise. Surely there is a dependable moderately sized vehicle that fits my requirements. I don't know where to start with so many makes and models out there. I need some unbiased opinions. Thank you.
Taking My chinchillas camping? My family likes to go camping about 2 or 3 times a year. I want to get some chinchillas and am doing some research. Will I be able to take them camping with me? I would buy them a smaller cage and they would be in a trailer. I would also make sure that they have the right temp set. I just want to know if it would be ok for them and that it wouldn't injure their health or anything like that.
Convert Amps to watts for my caravan? when camping with my caravan (travel trailer) in Europe, I have a small amount of electricity provided, usually 5 or ten amps. How do I calculate how many watts I can use before "blowing" the trip.
Car shopping please rank the following please!!!? Hello, I am in the market for a new vehicle. I would like to buy a 2005 or newer, I currently own a 1997 jeep wrangler w/ 130,000 miles on it and it has seen it's better days. I am looking for an SUV with plenty of room for kids, camping, road trips etc.. and that can pull a small trailer for short distances. I am looking at the following: -Toyota 4runner -Nissan pathfinder or Xterra -Jeep (grand cherokee or liberty) Please rank or suggest a different SUV, I'm looking at spending < $20,000
Great place to camp around VA? I have lived here in North Virginia for about 3 years. The camp sites I have been able to find are to small for my large 2 room tent. They are all set up for trailers / RVs. I would love to find a really camping spot. A place where you can get away from everyone and everything! A place by a river or a good fishing spot would be great. I would like to find a place that is no more then a 4 hr drive from Dulles Airport. Thank you for all your help!
Is this credit score good? I know there are LOTS of different things that comprise a good credit score. I also know that a high credit score number doesn't necessarily mean all that much if your credit history is strong enough to qualify you for big ticket items. Now last time I check my credit score was 680. Since then I have: Paid off an unsecured loan for a mountain bike (everything on time) Paid off an RV camping trailer (everything on time also) Obtained a JC Penny card for $1,000 limit Obtain a small visa card for $500 (used and then paid off several times) (Both cards have never had a late payment or finance charge nor ever gone over limit, and both are still active in good standing) Last time I checked before doing most of that my credit was 680. SO,,, my question is: With a credit score of 680 (last time I checked) and a history like this, is this a good credit score and history?
Alternative energy? Filming a documentary next year which requires me to attach a camping trailer to my car. I want to attach a windmill to the top of my camper to power laptop, port. TV, elec. stove, temp controls, (air conditioning and/or heat depending on time of year and location) and lighting. My reasoning is that a windmill would work due to the air flow created by the car driving long distances across the highways. Questions: 1. Is the construction of a windmill feasible so that it wont blow off and cause property damage and personal injury? 2a. Would a windmill used in these conditions (traveling no faster than 80 miles an hour) be sufficient to power a 12v or 24v battery to hold a charge to power all the items listed above? 2b. If not, would supplementing extra power with solar cells (traveling would be done during daylight hours) meet the rest of the power need? 3. Would such a small windmill on a camper violate rules regarding driver distractions? Thanks. PS - Plans also would be helpful Also forgot to mention a fridge would be included and possibly a sink if I cannot find a camper that has a hand powered one (sorry I don't have the camper yet so I don't know what material it will be made of/ bound to.)
Know where I can find rubber seals around windows? I've been remodeling an old one-axle camping trailer. It has the windows that have four or five rectangular Plexiglas slats, and when you turn a hand crank, it tilts the slats and opens the windows. Well, I've been having quite a bit of water leaking through the window, and I'm looking to replace the small rubber trim that goes around the edge of the window and seals it when the window is closed. The best that I can describe this trim is that it is quite narrow, and there is a sort of c-shaped track that these rubber strips run through. So the rubber strips themselves are kind of H shaped (if you're looking at one end of the strip) and are about a foot long each. I've searched and searched on the net for something, but it seems like it's too old of a style to be found now. Has anyone run across a window seal like this (they were even quite popular on older mobile homes with a similar style of window)? Do you know where I can find such a seal?
Im going camping up north and if my dogs will attract bears? Me and a few friends are going camoing up near huntsville to Arrowhead Provincial Park, and i keep reading that theres alot of bear warning there, and that alot of reviews talk about bear sightings. My two dogs are coming with us this year. A maltese and a Yorkie(small breeds). Were sleeping in a pop-up trailer, but im worried that they will attract bears. Will they, or should it be fine? Also, I'm wondering if it would be okay to bring them on the hiking trails with us, because they would love that! But if its a risk then i would never! I don't want any bear encounters!! Advice?
What do you think of my first chapter introduction? Honestly, does it fly or sinks like a stone in water? [T stands for the town's name, which is fabricated because I couldn't find the perfect place in the States for the later scenario. This is the introduction to a trilogy. I need to envision a perfect, poor, small town] HONEST CRITICISM ENCOURAGED. thanks :) T is a small town. T, meaning you should shield your eyes when the wind starts collaborating with dust. And they do get a lot of dust, mainly because of the proximity and quantity of roads pulsating around the town like adrenaline-laced jugulars. Ironically, T is such a poor place they choose walking as their main mean of transportation. But the town itself is basically four times the size of a large trailer camp. Not many new houses, two restaurants, plenty of gas stations and bars. The bars have arcades, to allow working fathers to bond with their children where they can observe their highest scores from where they’re sitting, guzzling discounted beer prior to dinner time. The elementary school is near. The closest high school is an hour’s worth of walk; thirty minutes of jog north down the busy road. There is little interest in college edification. The heart of T is a collection of RVs, Class A and B motor homes, Luton bodies, truck campers and static caravans, Datsuns with teardrop trailers, and hybrids. Men in their forties already receiving pension, disabled and big families are on welfare. The phrases like Good Sam Club and slide-toppers are hackneyed and everyday. When the sun reaches the pinnacle of its height people sunbathe like lizards on warm tombstones. Down on rocking benches and white-plastic garden chairs, they socialize with the neighbors while getting a tan. Men rub their brows hunched over the day’s mailbox material, women grab their chests while reading tacky romance novels; young boys practice reading on spaghetti westerns. The smell of poverty is strongest in the morning; mildew, bacon and cheap cigarettes muddle up with gasoline, paint thinner and aerosol. The general mentality is that of coma patients making peace with their fate. Life is good. At least the husbands are employed, the state provides for the needy, the children are healthy, the neighbors are good people and there’s nothing wrong with the weather. No major cities are this positive. Then again, T never had Jackie S teaching the vampire minority politics, or highly intelligent mind readers taking over MENSA. T never was the hot spot of an equal rights movement, and there were no costly boarding schools for exceptional youngsters preferring its scarce landscape over the shores of New England or the Connecticut Appalachians. In New York City nobody even cares looking outside the window to admire the pristine blue sky. They’re far too busy having headaches and eating disorders to enjoy the simplicity of sun in the morning. ... That's it. Did you like it? You get ten points, naturally. I'm no cheapskate. We all want to earn those easy points :)) Sorry if the 'T's throwing you off. I have a really good name, I'm kinda hesitating to reveal it before the book's published and sitting in front of me :D Oh, it's a plain name, anyways. Think what you like. It can be the small town of Tentacles, if you like.

Is "double trailering" legal in Ohio? I'd like to pull a small trailor behind my camper trailer to carry my electric cart and the grandkids bikes when we go camping. Is this legal in Ohio? Thanks
Boyfriend trying to teach me to drive manuel & not going well He says that I distrust him & don't want 2 learn? Ok, my BF of 8+ months is teaching me to drive his Manuel pick-up. Was having a problem because I feel I need more practice in a quiet low traffic area. He thinks that I'm ready to go on a major mountain highway and pull a small utility trailer. He will be in the truck with me when we drive. He says that my need for practice is more of a distrust of him and his teaching abilities. He claims to have taught lots of people faster. I said that I need more time and he claims that is an excuse. He also said that I never want to practice when he does. Which is true but he does not want to practice when I do either. I have being trying to learn how to drive a Manuel for the last 15 years and have had some not so great experiences. Like blocking traffic and getting stuck blocking an intersection, getting screamed at by people teaching me (not my BF). I can drive farm equipment and quads. He is now saying that he is giving up and will never teach me anything. I have told him that I want to learn I just need more time. He also wants me to learn how to drive his semi truck. I think he wants me to learn so he can brag to his buddies there wives/GF can't drive manuals. Or so that I can drive and he can relax on the camping trips. He does not like to take my car. How do I get him to listen to me? I'm now having panic attacks about driving the truck. I have even cried in front of him. But, I still want to learn...
Can creditors debts in detail with extended family members? Recently I was laid off for 6 months and had to put the majority of my belongings in storage while moving into a smaller less expensive apartment. I became a 2 months behind in my storage bill and the company contacted my brother whom I had listed as an emergency contact number, informing him that if I did not make my account current they were going to put a lien against HIS camping trailer which was also stored at the same facility. When I talked to the storage company they stated that if someone owes them money they will collect in whatever means possible. Anyone have information on what I can do about this? *Can creditors discuss debts in detail with extended family members?
Would you buy a full sized pickup truck or a small/ mid sized model & if so which on? Alright I'm purchasing my first car & have settled on a pick up truck. It'll be my commuter vehicle (60 miles a day) as well as a fun vehicle. I off road, camp, & occasionally pull a sports bike or atv trailer. 4x4 is a must (with the Kansas weather & my hobbies) and all that leaves is the size and cab style. I drove an extended cab Ford Ranger and it was great but I'm looking to upgrade. I've narrowed it down to these 2009 models -Toyota Tacoma Access (Extended) Cab TRD Off Road with the V6 and the 6-Speed Manual - Chevy Silverado Standard Cab Z-71 V6 My fall back Chevy Colorado Extended Cab Z71 (no idea on the engine choice) Standard Cab Toyota Tacoma 4x4 (Manual) If anyone has input or reviews or just suggestions on other models or trim levels any help is appreciated thank you!. I forgot to add that! Thank you very much for your imput and yes I have learned to love my Ranger and will prolly turn it into a street trucks (its 2WD)
What color would lighten up and compliment gray and burgundy in a small space? We just purchased a small, old camper trailer (12 ft) because we're getting to old for the tent and because it was in our price range. The burgundy linoleum floor is in great shape, the black counter top is in good shape and the gray paneling is in OK shape. I want to make new curtains and cushions. The space is small and dark - help me lighten it up! The old, dirty torn cushions and curtains are light and dark blue.
Who makes a small pop up tent or camper trailer? I am trying to find a small (10' x 10') pop up camper trailer, something light to tow behind a Jeep, just a camper only, don't need a table, etc, in it. Need something available to be shipped or available from a dealer in Colorado.
What is the tow/haul button do on my GMC Jimmy? I have a 2001 GMC Jimmy; bought used; never had a manual. There is a button that says 'Tow/Haul'. What's it for? I recently bought a small camper trailer to tow and I'm wandering if I should push that button when I'm towing the camper trailer?
Need to know specs for homebuild Motorcycle Trailer??? Hi, I am starting to build a small camper trailer to tow behind my 1000cc motorbike. But I need to know the NSW specifications regarding maximum total width, maximum height & maximum total length (including draw bar & coupling). Thanks in advance. Dan I had a look at that roadmancampers.com but they are not aussie plus they just state dimensions of their own trailers. I need to know legal dimensions for NSW, Australia.
2-3 snakes, 2 grown dogs, 1 cat and an iguana living in small space together. ANIMAL CRUELTY OR NOT? I recently found out about an older man living in a small rv/trailer/camper type thing with 2-3 snakes 2 pitbulls 1 cat and an iguana. i've been fighting with myself on whether this is animal cruelty or not to have all these animals in one confined space. Should i report it or just leave it alone. This man has nobody but his animals and it would break his heart into pieces to have them taken away. They're all healthy and they all are well trained, loyal and fed right. So should i not worry about it and just let it be? or is it unfair to these animals to be living like this? even though its all they know and they seem happy? also none of the animals fight with each other and they all pretty much have a space of their own. thanks to those of u that have answered so far and i agree i was just kinda feeling guilty and wanted to make sure i was doing the right thing and not reporting him for having all these animals in there (hes not supposed to) and so thanks you all :D u just confirmed what i had been thinking oh and i really dont appeciate being attacked for asking! i wasnt being judgemental i was making sure that these animals would be okay in this place cuz i was in there and saw how small it was and how little room small littl me had going into it much less two full grown pit bulls who cant even walk across it! also he's not an "elder man" lol when i said old i meant old compared to me i'm 18 hes in his 40's. so don't be attacking me with your answers. damn ppl if you re-read my question i dint say i was GOING TO i said i wasnt sure whether to! my goodness. ONE MORE THING as for that comment that chick left about "if you wanna help animals become a vegitarian" well for one thing i am. and second of all i'm going to school to be a veterinary technician so yes i am helping animals :)
My children are going to live temporarily with bio father who they don't know...can a private attorney help? I have am open case with DCF in Florida..i'm working on a case plan but in th meantime, my exhusband , whose name was not on the birth certificate of either child, came forward and paid for a paternity test....he has always known they were his, but has never had anything to do with them since their birth til now. My babies , 3 & 2, have been with my mother the last 4 months til my ex husband decided to get in the middle now that he knew my mother had filed for child support for helping them while they y were with her. Last week, I went to court, and they were "supposed" to be arranging visitation for their father to have visitation at the hearing, but instead the judge decided to give him custody after doing a home inspection if he passes. The guy has NO stability whatsoever. He has lived in 5 differnet counties over the 4 years, works random jobs from driving cabs to pizza delivery...has been in homeless shelters, lived in motels, small camper trailers, and rents month to month wherever he goes....he lives 3 hours away. Can I hire an attorney to fight this?? My kids have only known mine and my mothers home...they dont even know him.....how can they jump past visitation to placing them with him although he has never even been around children and has no knowledge of rearing a child?? I want them with my mother during this time...they are SAFE where they are, and know that as their 2nd home. I'm working on my case plan in the meantime for those of u wondering....my current husband made a false report to DCF and since I had been drinking the evening it occured, they felt it was necessary to open a case on me. I am very stable mother for my kids, but I dont have the best history till up until 5 years ago where I made a complete turn around...ive had a wonderful job as a hairstylist at the same place for 3 years, had private insurance for me and my children, ive lived in the same place for several years....but DCF is making me to look like this horrible monster!! I would appreciate some POSITIVE answers rather than something discouraging...this is really a rough time for me and my family. Thank you Lori, but my kids ARE a priority...i see u are a mother of 2 children...did u raise them working a full time job, maintaing a home, all on ur own without the help of government assistance??? I think my children DO come first thank you...bitch
Dirt Jumps? I want to build dirt jumps for BMX or Mountain Boarding, to build a jump I don't want to spend a lot on dirt, is there any way that I could put a small camper trailer on the ground and cover it with dirt to make a sick jump that wont be dangerous.
Advise needed, please help.? Ok, my children live with me full time. There father lives with his mother and they live in a small camper trailer so my kids cant go there to visit him. I allow him to come and stay at my place every other weekend so he can see the kids. Well While i am gone for the week he lets the kids break all the rules. They are ages 3, 5, and 7. So they do know the rules. I have also gone over the rules with him. And to top it off, he lets them eat all the lunch food. I support them with out any help from him so it makes me so mad because i cant afford that. I know there are alot of people who would say dont let him see the kids, this and that but they need to have there father in there life. Any advise on what is best?
How much money would i need to leave here (North Carolina) and move out to vegas? i have an 8th grade education, and no job experience at all. i have some money coming in soon and i have always wanted to leave here and my family and move to a big city like new york or something. i have family out in vegas and they will look out after me and everything but i was curious, can i make it out there with about $9,000 in the bank? i think i might live on the outskirts of vegas and rent a small camper trailer until i get a job and car. Does anyone have any tips for me on how to make it out there?
Tire size question, how small can I go? Anyone know how small of a profile tire I can put on my p265/75R16 I need to put them on a camper trailer. I would like to have somthing narower and shorter to fit in the wheel well. Thanks for your help
I am looking for a small travel trailer.....? Hi, I would like to know of brands for small travel trailers. There is just two of us and a baby, but we would like to sleep around 4 people. We also need to have a bathroom/shower because many places we like to go need a self reliant "camper". I have seen some cute tear drop models and things like that, does anyone know the manufactuers of things like this? Also where is a great site to get used ones? I also like the chalet hard top pop up but there is only a large one with a toilet. I am looking for a cheap price, but something nice. Any ideas?
Where can I rent a vehicle that can haul a camper? Does anyone know of any dealers that rent cars/trucks/vans to haul a camper-trailer in Ontario (Toronto Area). My car is only a small standard 4 cylinder. My dream was to own a camper, now that I have one I can't take it anywhere!!
Best camper for family with 2 small kids? We are looking for a new/used travel trailer or popup camper. Does anyone know from experience which is the best. we are wanting one for weekends at lake maybe a couple weeks in mountains. what are the pros and cons of both the travel trailer and pop up. towing, upkeep, misc expense etc...
what is the best site to find camper replacement parts? My husband and I have a 1972 Travelmate Trailer Camper, and we are planning to tear all of the insides out and rebuild everything, but we need to find replacement parts like small oven and stove, fridge, lights, doors, drawers, cabinets, and stuff like that.
I recently purchased a small piece of property on a river.I want to put a travel trailer on it.? The tongue of the trailer is in the front and the doors and windows face the right side. There is no where for the truck to get out as the property is heavy woods and large rocks. There is a nice pull in spot for the camper. My question is: how can I place the trailer where I want it without having to cut down all the tree's and remove the large rocks, some of which weight 500 or more lbs. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
How to calculate the power required to tow a trailer? Ok... so this question was asked last week... "How much horsepower or torque should I have to tow a small camper?" To which the answer was... check out the tow ratings... Which is all well & good, but most tow vehicle rating tables do not include gas mileage... 'cause it depends on what kind of load you're pulling. If the goal is to maximize gas mileage, you'd want to size the engine as closely as possible to the actual load. Then add on the required transmission cooling, and suspension (yes, which add weight, and again increase load)... But if we could start by figureing out the least possible power requirement, then we could figure out the least possible CID, and then do the tradeoff on engine-life vs. gas mileage vs. size of engine. Seems like if we want to maximize gas mileage, we need to understand the power requirement before buying the TV. So... if anyone knows/remembers off-hand how to calculate it... please share. Thanks! Assume max Interstate Highway design constraints... 75mph and 6% max slope Sorry... thought I was overwriting the original details... The only thing I meant to add is to Assume max standard Interstate Highway design constraints... 75mph and 6% max slope as taken from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interstate_Highway_standards Or maybe pick 70 mph, since that's top legal speed around here... Thanks,
Does anyone have experience with a Mobile Gym? I want to start a mobile gym. I have a 30ft camper trailer Im going to convert. I have a treadmill, bowflex, and some dumbells. Does anyone know if this type of business could work in a small community of 5000 people
Im lookin for a new truck, any suggestions? I need a better truck, one that can haul my 30 footer camper trailer, my horse trailer, and my dirt bikes and quads around when i head outta town or somethin. It has to be strong and make me look good too. It has to be good for mountain ranges too obviously. I like to go muddin and hunt too. Just, give me some ideas ya'll. Thanks from ur small town country girl ;)
How do I tell if my trailer can take the weight? I have a trailer that was an old camper. I want to build a small house on top of it. The house will end up weighting 6000 pounds. How do I know if the tandem axles can take the weight? Is there a sticker somewhere? I do not know what kind of camper was on the frame.
Can the sterio type of men that driving big trucks have a small penis be false? I read a question on yahoo and it really ticked me off. I drive a large pick up to but I don't drive it to show off . I tow a fifth wheel alot and even with out the camper trailer I don't think I could ever find a reason trade it in for a car. If I even used it once a month for hauling something it's worth keeping even thou it might cost me an extra 20 bucks a week. I'm not broke I don't care that i spend 20 measly dollar per week extra. People spend more than that on getting comprehensive/ collision insurance and 80$ per month extta is worth it knowing that if a Toyota prius slams into the rear of my truck going 45mph that my 4 year old daughter is doing to have a broken back! I found that the only people who seem to think trucks are useless are yuppies, broke people, and lazy /broke people And some women (I separated women from the rest because I don't want to make it sound asif I'm downing women. All I know is my wife hates the truck but when ever she buys crap at auctions and yard sales she seems to need my so called "useless truck"
Does anybody have any advice on building a cabin? My fiance and I live on his parents farm, currently in a camper trailer that we pushed into an old Hog Confinment Shed. This spring we will be building a small cabin on the edge of his parents property so that we can be on the farm to help out, but yet we don't have to depend on them for things like the bathroom/shower and kitchen. We have already contacted the county we live in and on a farm it is legal to build a second home on the premisis if the person occupying it works on the farm. So legally we can do this, the only thing is that we need is to comply with sewer regulations. I was just wondering if anybody could throw out some good websites on eco friendly building? Or some thrifty, money saving ideas? Anything to help me out would we wonderful! Thanks! Do you have any info on Passive Solar Homes?
sleepover ideas???? ok well me and my twin sis have a cabin, we each get to invite a friend for the weekend i'm inviting a crazy girl who has surgar rushes ALL the time. Should we get the bunk beds or the room with 2 twin beds? WHat should all 4 of us do besides swim because there is a lake. There is a library,a dollar store and a drug store and a resturaunt that has video games. We are all 11 years old. THe town that my cabin is in is VERY small. there is one park that is hooked onto a trailer camp site with swings and like a little peninsula that goes kout into the water and has a rocking chair. Camp rock? who among you guys expected camp rock differently?,i mean what you expected on camp rock,is that really what you had in mind? i was totally wrong,i expected camp rock to be focusing more on nick, kevin, joe, demi.turns out it was kind of like demi's life,LOL.but anyway camp rock was a great movie, and i was just wonderin' why in the camp rock trailer they made it look like nick and kevin had bigger roles, but no....i was surprise to see the movie because nick and kevin had just a small part in there,it was not as ive expected.what u guys think? And to think that there was a kiss, but no...there isnt, but joe even said that they practiced the kiss 25 times, whats the 25 times for if there is no kiss?.i was not bothered because they didnt kiss,i was kinda bothered that they said there was a kiss which there isnt...but anyway,CAMP ROCK was awesome....and im so looking forward to see camp rock 2.LOL
Any TRUCK DRIVERS, advice please!!!? I have just moved across the country to a small work camp in western canada working in the oil industry for a month now. I am trying to develop my skills out here and have recently begun training on a semi without trailer, but the one guy who I am paying to take driving lessons with after work is the most arrogant and smug a$$hole you've ever met, and since the first second I sat in his cab he's offered nothing but snide attitude. I feel just awful and have been picking it up in the couple hours I've been in the cab with him, but he won't answer a single question I ask, but I need this license in order to improve out here, and he's the only trucker in the camp. I'm driving on a 10 speed semi, but am finding I am still popping and sliding gears here and there. I know that every situation is different, but at what RPM should I be shifting into neutral when upshifting or downshifting? Could you give me any tips on what RPM I should be shifting at? NEED HELP!!! Also, what RPM I should rev to when putting in in gear on the second clutch?
